Youth Advisory Council recruitment

What's it all about?

Do you live in South East Queensland and are passionate about creating a better Queensland for young people?

We're seeking young Queenslanders aged 14–25 years living in South East Queensland to join the Queensland Family and Child Commission’s (QFCC) Youth Advisory Council (YAC).

Are you passionate about making a difference?

Do you like to get involved and be a voice for your community?

Then the QFCC is looking for young people just like you!

To apply:

- complete an online application form via the website

- answer three (3) questions about your passion areas (written, audio or video submissions)

- supply the contact details of someone who knows you well as a referee.

Full details and the application link are available on the QFCC website – www.qfcc.qld.gov.au/joinYAC

Applications are now closed.

One of the best things about Queensland is the beautiful diversity in our people and our communities. The QFCC provides meaningful opportunities for all young Queenslanders to participate in and inform the decisions that affect them.

The YAC is one way the QFCC champions the voices of children and young people to provide youth perspectives and leadership to the QFCC.

The YAC meets regularly to talk about issues affecting young people and provide advice to the Commissioners on what is important to children and young people in Queensland. They also work with other young Queenslanders to identify the key issues, design innovative solutions and implement responses to address these issues.

We invite all young Queenslanders aged 14–25 years living in South East Queensland to apply.

If you live somewhere else in Queensland keep an eye on our website as state-wide opportunities pop up all the time!
